Pinctada ~ A genus of saltwater oysters, marine bivalve mollusks in the family Pteriidae, the pearl oysters. These oysters have a strong inner shell layer composed of nacre, also known as "mother of pearl".
Appearance
As God of the Oceans, Pinctada prefers to blend in with his surroundings. His hair is the colour of the foam on the shore, his skin is the colour of the midnight sky reflected in the Bathypelagic layer, his eyes shine like the moonlight on the surface. He wears very little by way of clothes, sometimes wearing clusters of shells, coral and sea anemones to decorate himself when he waits on the shore for Konane.
Story
He loves the nights when he can love her, when he can touch her skin and kiss her lips and make her smile and hear her voice. When he can wrap her in his arms and remind her that he loves her and make her feel like a woman. When he can talk to her and care for her and look after her and make her happy. She shines so brightly for him on those nights when he can love her.
He loves the way she looks at him, as though he is the only man on the planet for her. He loves the way he looks at her, knowing that their love is so pure and strong and endless. As endless as his domain, as eternal as her, as pure and honest and innocent and true as the world she knows.
Oh, but he loves the nights when she loves him. When he breaks the surface of the water and watches her light up the sky and shine down on him. When he can watch the drops of moonlight and starlight as they hit the surface of the water and sink to the oyster beds, destined to become Pearls. When she gets bigger and brighter in the sky and he can worship her from afar, reflecting her light back to her, watching her shine.
But most of all, he loves her. Her nights, her days, her everything.
