WishDream groaned as she pulled her latest batch of soda out from her oven.

She’d been trying to create sodas that would weaken the strength of possession by otherworldly beings. The endeavor would say that such a product is very much needed now with all these reports of Subetans being mysteriously possessed recently. The incident of Garret and Victoria’s possession was very concerning. Not only was all their research into what might be behind the possessions gone, but the duo had also created a giant airship that had attacked Ziara!

WishDream could just picture how awkward it was going to be for the Subeta-renowned inventors once they were interviewed about the warship incident.

WishDream's interest in possessions had begun after she had to fight off a deranged reborn warador. The warador, named Presley, had suddenly become more proficient in spell casting, which was rare for members of the species unless they undertook rigorous studies of the magical arts. After some investigating, it was discovered that Presley had made a deal with a mysterious being to quickly increase her magical proficiency. As a result, Presley was now manifesting fire powers similar to a reborn pet. Unfortunately, Presley had also lost her sanity as a side effect of the spell. .

WishDream had assisted other strong battle pets in stopping Presley’s rampage. The conflict came to an end when the being behind the possession ended up destroyed. However, Presley changed into a simple Sun warador. The energy generated by her reborn color ended up becoming sentient in the form of reborn matter. Since then, WishDream had kept the matter as a pet. Thankfully, this reborn matter did not have the influence of the corrupt being that had possessed Presley.

When the mysterious possessions of various Subetan citizens began, WishDream began if there could be a discreet way for Subetans to protect themselves from possession. After some thought, the endeavor decided that a drink was the best option.

WishDream motioned for her other minion, Light Breeze, to approach. Light Breeze, a Subeta Cola Fairy, would taste the batches of soda to see if they were fit for consumption. Sadly, based on previous batches WishDream noticed some signs that the cola fairy would not enjoy the recently constructed batch…..

As expected, Light Breeze was not a fan of the soda WishDream had brewed. WishDream groaned. What was she to do?

Several months later...

WishDream had gone to the Underground square to seek out help from the Alchemist, who was renowned for creating unique foods from magic. However, when WishDream arrived at the Alchemist’s workshop, she was surprised to seek Elsie, the shopkeeper of Half Baked, there as well. The zombie baker looked very worried, which clued WishDream in that something might be amiss.

Just as the endeavor approached the door, a loud explosion occurred. The noise echoed throughout the Commerce District, and it made Light Breeze cower in fear. WishDream and Elsie rushed towards a nearby window. Through the glass they could see the alchemist, Zosi, intently focused on his work. But WishDream noticed something not quite right….Zosi’s eyes were glowing a deep magenta.

WishDream and Elsie looked at each other, and the endeavor could see the intense horror and fear in Elsie’s eyes. There could only be one explanation for this…..

With no words spoken, Elsie rushed towards the exit of the Commerce District while WishDream dashed towards the Philosopher's store. The endeavor knew she would need help to deal with this problem.

Eventually other strong pets were guided by Elsie to the Underground to fight the possessed Zosi. After the possession had been broken, WishDream noticed some scraps of paper floating through the air. WishDream and several other pet owners managed to catch the scraps of paper. WishDream's eyes widened when she read what was written on the paper:

“You think you’re helping, but you are not. I break contact with each of my volunteers willingly and painlessly, so when you show up and and sic your pets on them, YOU are the one hurting them. Not me. I value each one of my volunteers, as they are contributing towards a noble goal. I am writing this against my better judgment, as you are starting to annoy me. None of this concerns you. In fact, if you knew my reasons, you’d step aside and let me continue my work unimpeded. You will understand soon. Everyone will. Those who don’t shall be destroyed alongside her. It would be a shame, but I have little patience for insolent worms.”

WishDream returned home, but the ordeal of dealing with Zosi and the ominous words from the being responsible for the recent possession wave had left her rather shaken. She sighed. She would return to Zosi’s shop and learn what happened when he was possessed. The endeavor looked at the tin of magic teas she had recently bought. She had planned to reverse engineer the teas to determine how the Wizard had made them both magically effective and pleasant to the tongue. Besides the box of teas was a small mushroom creature looking warily at WishDream. The creature in question was a Mortcini. A bunch of them had been created by Mortobello to aid him while fighting the pets that had defeated Zosi. After Mortobello was defeated, it was determined that he had been wielding some sort of mind control power over the Mortcinis. Now, however, the little creatures were free from his influence.

During the battle against Mortobello, WishDream had scooped up this Mortcini to stop it from causing trouble. Despite the suspicious origins of the little creature, WishDream had chosen to take it home with her. The endeavor decided to name her new minion Woojin. Light Breeze was unsure about the newcomer, wary due to the recent events, The reborn matter, named Vida by WishDream, was far more accepting.

WishDream continued to brew her sodas, hoping to somehow make a breakthrough. Surprisingly, Woojin became a great help to WishDream's endeavors. The little Mortcini took great care in finding the best potential ingredients for WishDream’s sodas. Seeing the little creature’s resolve made WishDream smile.

And it gave her hope for the future.
