Legacy Name: Strangest

100%, my initial attraction to the name is because of the general definition (unusual or surprising in a way that is unsettling or hard to understand, not previously visited, seen, or encountered; unfamiliar or alien) and the flavors of a character that could be born from such a meaning. As a bonus, "Strangest" is such a lovely nod to "Strange New Worlds" - the Star Trek show that is not only amazing on its own merit but brought me back into the world of Star Trek. Given the ways I could go with this lovely name, it's a wonderful bonus. Already enough appeal for me to apply, I always like to explore alternative, deeper, or layered meanings when adopting / shaping a character and found a treasure hidden in this name.

"Strangeness" in particle physics has a few meanings. A "strange particle" is one with a quantum number greater than zero. A quantum number is the quantity that characterizes the possible states of the system. Thus, in a "character" sense - strangeness represents potential, characteristics that suggest possible outcomes, the many forking road to who we will be."Strangeness" as a "rule" or theory is related to the expected / unexpected rates of decay / change of certain particles. In short - the more "strangeness" a particle has, the slower the rate of "decay" of the particle through strong forces.

I'm still digesting some of the information I'm gathering, but have some really solid interest and attachment to where this character is going in my mind. I have two worlds established where this little one would find themselves at home - one being paired with Ferik and the other being in the World of Magic family. Though honestly I could write a ton of solo stories for a name like this and fighting my other ideas is making this fella an Exp 6008 and a Subeta resident along with my other Subeta stories.
