Brygos is a terrifying individual; he takes immense joy in the hunt, and has an immense proprietary interest in his prey. Immature to a fault, he doesn't take criticism well and is mocking and snarky about everything.
Brygos was hired by Rhystal after he found his plans were being interfered with by this strange bunch of freaks in a haunted library in Shadowglen. The black furred keeto was a ghost and demon exterminator- he had the same powers as Xocolatl, but unlike the bovyne, Brygos had no wish to live a normal life. His powers attracted a kabal of demons that killed most of his home village, and he committed his life to destroying any other-planar creature that found its way to Subeta.
Rhystal knew there was ghost in the library, and figured that in the process of sending Brygos to kill the ghost, likely the ghost hunter would take down several of the others trying to protect her. And that plan nearly succeeded- the ghost channeling powers the keeto brought to bear not only worked on Shinko, but also on the undead ghost fragments that had given life to Dust. Fortunately, Addy was able to hold him back long enough to bring Xoco back to the library, and the bovyne's powers proved strong enough to cancel Brygos' own.
The keeto was not happy to have his prey stolen… but felt a certain thrill at the challenge. This failure would be avenged, he decided; all of the fools in this haunted library would pay for betraying their own homeland to protect a demon.
