Personality seems a bit one-dimensional. Maybe get her some more interests, some friends, something.

All her life, she's felt uncomfortable and wrong. Connecting with others doesn't come naturally, and seems like a performance rather than something fun. She drags herself through the day, and her thoughts race when she needs to sleep. No matter where she goes, she feels out of place and restless, and wants to leave.

Kyu's name is an alternate spelling of "curious", and it fits her personality. She lives for discovery, and is a balance of skeptical and open-minded. She'd make a really good scientist. Unfortunately, her parents won't let her be one because apparently it's not a "real job". So instead of studying the mysteries of outer space, she studies programming and works in a coffee shop.

She's very disillusioned and bored. Seems like there's nothing more to life than cruel power structures and a dying planet. She hopes she's wrong.

She knows most of it probably is faked photos, weird-looking clouds, swamp gas, and the light playing tricks on tired minds. But she hopes some of it is real. She spends a lot of time reading about this stuff. And whenever she doesn't have work or classes, she'll look for it.
