"I wanted Scorbunny," he argues, "We were going to make the coolest football duo." He can practically feel the disappointment radiating off of his father.
"Our family is made up of knights, not something ridiculous and embarrassing as a sports player."
'Oh bugger off,' Colin thinks vehemently, 'The world doesn't need knights anymore. When will you learn old man?' Still, he listens to his father and accepts the Rookidee, although he's entirely miffed about it.
At the age of ten, Colin had dreams.
But then he grew up.
In the present, Colin is twenty-eight years old and holds a grudge against his now deceased father. He is unhappy with his so-called job as a knight, roaming the galar region for any signs of people in peril. His partner, Galahad, can tell he's unhappy, but any attempts of comforting his trainer are instantly rejected. Colin hates his pokemon, because to him, Corviknight is now simply a reminder that dreams are simply meant to crash and burn.
