You finally make it to the entrance of the demon lord's castle, only to be met with the sight of a majestic pink dragon - Margaret, the destroyer of heroes. Ret for you. Don't ever dare to call her Maggie, unless you want to feel the heat of her (glittery pink) flames.
"Bring me a tribute, and make it cute!" Margaret demands, blocking your path with her massive body. The castle looms behind her, dark and foreboding, but your attention is drawn to the dragon's pink scales and sparkling hoard.
You quickly rummage through your pack, searching for something that might appease the dragon. As luck would have it, you happen to have a small plushie of an extra fluffy bunny tucked away. When did it get there? It doesn't matter now, you carefully present it to Margaret, hoping it will be enough to satisfy her.
Margaret takes the plushie in her claws and examines it carefully. Her expression is unreadable, but you can tell she's pleased. "Not bad, this will do!" she purrs, tucking the bunny into her hoard.
As you and your fellow adventurers continue on your way, you can't help but wonder about Margaret's true motives. Is she really a fierce guard, or just a collector of cute merch? Is she even a guard? Could it be... That she ate the previous guard? It doesn't matter, you're safe for now.wip
