A recluse by nature, Loch Ness is rarely seen except for glimpses above the surface when she dares brave capturing a glance at the beautiful shoreline and longs for a chance to live above water. If it weren't for her only friend, Kelp, Nessie would bare a life of loneliness and longing. Ancient tradition has painted her in a poor light, and it is dangerous for her to be spotted for fear that she will be captured or become a tourist attraction. Kelp has become a reliable look-out, letting Nessie know when it is safe to poke her head above the water and admire the golden light hitting the trees and hearing the calls of the local birds.
