What lurks...

...in the Brine?

Bless you for coming! We must have asked every diver in the country, but once word got round about how fierce the whirlpools are, none would go near us. And to think this used to be a thriving port with a bay like a millpond 'til a few years ago. Now if anything from a minnow to a battleship tries to leave the shore, a whirlpool opens and it gets sucked down to the deep. We have to know what's down there, and you're the only one who can take the dive. We're so much obliged to you!

I wish I could give you some warning as to what to expect, but I've no clue. Most seem to think the beast that washed up on the shore those years ago is at the root of it, and we should never have let it go - but it was such a little thing, all tangled in seaweed - though it were a vicious wee blighter and nearly had the fingers off one of our fishermen. Could it really have gotten big enough to swallow a ship?
