My aunt is kinda famous. Well, more like fifth cousin twice removed, or something like that. But everyone in the family (and I do mean everyone) always called her Aunt Jess. Everywhere she goes she seems to make fast friends with just about everyone, and she has this sweet demeanor about her that disarms everyone. Everyone knows Aunt Jess is...(((((((
Oh, she's also one of the most infamous murder mystery writers of, well, ever.
She's also the one person who's never given me a scoff when I talk about my coven. She actually really liked learning about our witching spells. They aren't actual magic spells or potions, more of a spiritual thing. And practical. Baking soda can solve a lot of problems. She even gave me some 'frugal old lady' recipes to add to my potion book.
Bea stumbles upon a mystery and notices something doesn't make sense. - - The mystery could be someone messing with gravestones in the local Catholic? cemetery. Specifically, the religious one, which is why people are so suspect of the Coven. A group of weird girls who are very blatantly 'satanists,' according to the devoutly religious types, who were known to 'cause trouble,' and now there's trouble at the graveyard? The question is, who would actually be doing something like that, how could it be kept interesting, and what could Bea notice that unravels it all.
(Also Bea omg don't let me write actual novels about you, but I kinda want to - a lost kid back home after failing at going to college far from home, now enrolled in a small local college to finish out her next two or three years, taking on the responsibility of looking after Aunt's house since almost no relatives actually want to live in smalltown Maine while also making amends with your coven for leaving them, wanting to write books like your aunt but not being able to put your thoughts together enough to accomplish it. You can make homemade apple cider at some point while crying on the floor hugging your aunt's books, remembering how she dressed up as a witch one Halloween with you. The only thing I'd really have to work on is the cop issue, since cops are nothing like they're depiction in whodunit TV shows. STOP BEA. I love you too much. Stop it.)
