[all pet profiles may eventually have pretty and proper aesthetics, but for now i just want everyone to have some written lore <3 every pet, in some way, has a story!]꧁✧꧂
For a long time, my favourite pastime was solo travelling. I would bound across the skies and the grasslands, the mountains and the waters. It was never too difficult for me, thanks to being Galactic! It helps me be all floaty~
I’ve met a lot of people on my travels. Mostly friendly, though some saw me as a trespasser (even though I make sure to stay in public areas!). Generally, people are very fine with a gal just going from place to place to see the coolest parts of Subeta!
So, imagine my surprise when I’m off on one of my little adventures in the cold wilderness of the arctic and I see another Keeto in a little cave! She seemed so… scared. I thought maybe she had gotten lost and needed help, so I hurried on over to ask,
“Are you okay?”
And she started… just… crying. So I went over and hugged her, just like I would with any of my friends. And she froze up (no pun intended), but I think she quickly realised there was no need to be scared. Not anymore. Somebody was here to help her feel safe!
I led Floe to warmer lands, taking scenic detours since she had never seen a world outside of the snow. Her eyes sparkled and her smile was so bright, I couldn’t help but feel happy too. I had somebody else who loved to travel like I did, heck, maybe even more. She had such a profound interest in every location, but…
People. She was just so afraid of people. Humans, animals, creatures… She would hide very often. Sometimes behind me, if nothing else was close by. I knew that it would be something we needed to work on, together, slowly. She wouldn’t become brave overnight, but I knew I could help her get just a tiny bit stronger every day.
The only kind of love I’d felt before meeting Floe was my love for travel. But I began to develop a new kind of love. The kind of love that made me fawn over Floe, wish to be with her all the time, become heavily invested in her growth and happiness.
And… Well, here we are. We found a human carer who took us both in and introduced us to a whole community of Keetos. It’s been really helping Floe come out of her shell to interact with Keetos like us, all with such different backgrounds and experiences. Everyone’s respectful of each other, especially when Floe suddenly feels the urge to hide away and recharge. And whenever she does, I’m right beside her. She says that even though she had grown comfortable in isolation, being completely alone without me feels worse than the bittercold of the arctic.
So… yeah. My favourite pastime was solo travelling. But now, it’s travelling alongside my girlfriend.
