Loren was a night owl. Always had been, always would be. He didn't like the perkiness of morning people, didn't even much care for bright, sunny days. In his younger days, he'll be the first to admit that he did a lot of stupid, foolhardy things during day and night alike. He drank too much, partied too hard, drove too fast, fought for his opinions with his fists, and even spent a few nights down in the local jail. He had the scars to show for his errant ways, but thought of them as badges of learning now. He'd learned. He'd grown up. He no longer did the stupid shit his younger self thought was cool. Now, he held a steady job as a bartender...he did still love alcohol after all, but now he knew how to hold his drink and didn't drink to excess anymore. He'd been so stupid then. Most of his coworkers, some of the regulars at the club, looked to him as an older brother, someone older and wiser who'd been there and would help them out when they got into the same stupid situations. He took pride in the fact that he'd cleaned himself up and especially when he could use his experience to keep others from making his same mistakes. He still looked like the same big, tough, badass he thought he was in earlier days, but if you needed help, Loren was the first one to offer it. Screw with his mates at the bar though...and you just might see a little of that badass come right back out. Could he mix the fanciest and most complicated of drinks? Yes. Could he still also mix up your face right quick? Also yes.
