Some days feel hazy as they pass - because your mind is hazy and thinking too much. Hours flow by almost unnoticed, the windows stay shut during the sun's stay in the sky. When you venture to take a look outside during the day, your eyes sting until they adjust. You feel a heaviness almost physical.

There's something way too vague but, I dare say, comfortable, in the numb void. When I stare into the abyss and it stares back, and I feel like somehow it understood me, what goes on inside. Inside - it's a messy mind coupled with a confused heart. It aches for something, a shapeless desire; sometimes feeling closer to getting it, but never really. It slips from the fingers and fades away.
