7 year-old Susie has a monster under her bed. On nights it rears its ugly head, she leads it down to her parents' kitchen, raiding the fridge and pantry. The monster has a particular fondness for cheeses, and returns to the darkness of her room once satiated. Susie lovingly refers to this creature as "Kevin".

Of course, when she tries to tell her parents about Kevin, they find it hard to believe. "Susie, you can just tell us that you're eating all the cheese. You don't have to make up these stories. We're not mad at you, honey!" her parents say.

But she doesn't mind if her parents don't believe the story. As long as they continue to keep cheese in the house. God knows what would happen if Kevin doesn't get its cheese...
