Jack is a magician to be feared. Born with magical connections to the jungle around him, the potential was limitless. Years of exploration led him to find hidden temples, concealing cursed magic knowledge. Jack learned everything he could about this forbidden art of necromancy. Hijack lives alone in a swampy section of his jungle homeland. He's feared for his ability to raise the dead magically to his will. The name Hijack was given to him by the others in his jungle for his power to reanimate to steal corpses for his dark arts.Hijack cannot perform his dark magic without one of his tomes in hand, he's rendered to a normal manipulator of the jungle without it. Without his book, he can bend vines, grow plants, communicate with spirits, and subtly influences other creatures as if he were druid.
With his books, he must vocally indicate what he is doing. Book in hand, his eyes begin to glow and smoke. From the tip of his claw, he can draw runes in the air to raise corpses and manipulate their will en masse. At his hut, Hijack works with dolls to manipulate the will of the living, though he is largely unskilled at this. His hut is scattered in doll and body parts, as a result. Potion magic interests Hijack but he is often incapable of collecting resources for them, as Hijack is viewed unfavorably by his people.
Hijack pursues these arts, yet he's greatly unaware of any consequence that may unfold from this. He considers there may be a curse attached but has not figured it out quite yet. The consequence of these tomes is to be left with a sick sense of immortality. No normal means can kill Hijack, he will age until he rots to a husk.

Despite common belief, Jack remains largely neutral despite his offputting disposition at times. He's always had an innate quality for reading the room. He packed up and left his home village as soon as someone had caught wind of his grave robbing. He has never attacked the living unless first instigated. Initially, one will find approaching Hijack to be impossible. Without trust, he is highly uncooperative. Few have earned his trust & in these cases, he has aided those of well intention with help that only his taboo magic can provide.
Often, he squabbles with his own conjurations, occasionally having an undead turn on him; the catalyst for his dozens of visible scars and other facial damage. Several too from his fellow people. Those who disagree have sought to burn his hut. Little do they know of the undead horde Hijack keeps submerged, sleeping in the marsh of his home...
