AH Norin...always such a loyal aid. He'd always fetch whatever I called for when I worked in my lab. I never have to worry about losing anything with him around. Honestly he had a better memory than even I! HAHAHA! Sadly a few too many of my...experiments went array around him. At first it was just a change of color in his feathers here and there, some burnt, and maybe a bruise. I always patched him back up and took him to get checked. Sadly...that wasn't enough after the last lab explosion...poor Norin was wingless and slowly mutating out of control. Even my prototype Steve, Norin's best companion, was severely damaged in the blast. Those two were never spilt apart ever since I hatched Norin. Steve grabbed what Norin couldn't and Norin got Steve up where he couldn't reach. Sadly I was working on a much bigger Helper Bot. One that could help lift massive boulders and move steel, but a wire got crossed in the skull of my mech....I ordered Norin and Steve to fly up and disconnect the behemoth. Both were wearing my prototype "Pet Lab Safety" kits. Rubber insolated talon covers and light rubber rigging to prevent electrocution. I seemed to have skimmed too much on the rubber...and the moment Norin's talons touched the haywire bot's head...he got toasted. Along with Steve who's arms and legs shut down on the spot. I rushed over to the main power grid to shut it off but then a overload feed back blasted both me and all my mini Helpers away from it. Norin, that smart crazy bird still smoking from being hit with tons of volts flew right into the main power grid and with his beak, he plucked the wires right out. The feedback loop broke and the power finally went down fully sadly Norin was quiet on the floor. I did what I could...I saved and salvaged his brain, fixed Steve up the best I could, and got what helper bots that survived to repair the lab. From there I took a trip to Ziara City and asked around for some aid in...repairing Norin. I found it in the form of "Full Steam Ahead". Thankfully they agreed to take Norin's brain and input it into a steamwork Fester of their own. It took months before he finally got up onto his own talons again, and a year further before flying. Norin is still my best loyal lab aid. Steve helps as he can...I still can't seem to figure out why no normal arm/leg joints work for him...still it's been great to see the two get along again and learn to walk with each other. I plan on making a way for Steve to be able to RIDE Norin and maybe a few more experiments with other ways the two can work together....
