These little ones are my friends. I went out to the forest every day to spend time with them.

I brougt food, birdseed, little bits of scraps for the mice, and various other things for the weird assortment of animals that have made their way to hide in the Subeta forest.

There was a little meadow deep in the forest that I really love. They often waited for me there. There is even a few rocks to sit on, and lush grass for the vegetarians to munch on. The sunlight shines down into the meadow for most of the morning, like a spotlight on these amazing friends. It was beautiful, no matter the season. Spring and Summer were lovely green and lush with grass and flowers. Autumn some trees would change and shed their leave, which some animals would forage to make warm places to endure winter. Winter, there were a lot of evergreens so it was never empty, and provided shelter from the cold. Thankfully in our area, snow was rare.
