There is something in that lake that is simply unexplainable. The residents of the town are too afraid to speak of it, lest the creature overhears and becomes enraged. But they know what's hiding beneath the surface, in the cold depths of that peculiar body of water. The children describe the beast as friendly and misunderstood. They say that it has a beautiful coat of shiny, teal scales, a graceful tail and most strange of all, hooves and horns. The more courageous children often visit the animal in secret most mornings before school to feed it peanut butter sandwiches and iceberg lettuce. One child even claimed to have touched the beast's forehead before it ducked down beneath the surface again, but no one can confirm this for sure. This same child had named the animal, 'Escpada' and ever since, all the other children of the town call him that too.
