A specter that watches over the very fabric of time itself. Wielding a clockwork staff that can transform into a rapier, xey are the last line of defense between the web of timelines and those who wish to affect them for their own means. The mage who has been erased from time, forced to watch over it for many millennia. Supposedly, xey live in the confines of an abandoned clock tower within a rift in time.

A mage who has an unquenchable thirst for knowledge, one who is endlessly curious. Not many are even aware of xeir existence, and even fewer can recall meeting xem. The few who do remember whatever identity Aeon had taken at that time, have come to call xem a 'Guardian of Time' of sorts or liken xem to figures within history and mythology. In truth, none of them are accurate. In fact, none know of who Aeon was before finding xemselves in this position - not even Aeon xemself. Xeir very own memories elude them; this could be why xey watch over time, perhaps searching for xeir own past.

Ever the mysterious one, xey chose to let others believe whatever they like in terms of xeir origins and who they are, finding the theories fascinating, but also not truly knowing of xeir own past. Though xey can be a bit... mischievous at times, it's usually not anything seriously harmful. The time-related comments and puns xey make are spoken entirely seriously, so it's hard to tell usually if xey do it on purpose or not.

It seems some have deemed xem a guardian to children as well, as children perceive xem the easiest.

Aeon's appearance changes depending on xeir needs. The easiest form xey take is that of a lupine with black and gray fur (and to those sensitive to magic, a strange violet glow), and thus is the form xey take when low on energy or for quick escapes. According to them, this is because xey were originally a lycanthrope prior to xeir current role, though there is no way to verify if this is true or not. Xey also seem to favor this form when approaching children as not to alarm them.

Xeir most common disguise is that of an androgynous human with soft features, peachy skin, a scar on the left eye, and short white hair, though clothing varies depending on the time period xey find themselves in. However, it should be noted that this is not the only appearance that xey have taken; xey could be anyone from the old woman sitting at the local park to the young guitarist playing on the side of the street for spare change.

It appears that, regardless of xeir chosen appearance, xey seem to be blind in both eyes. However, whether or not xey actually are is up for debate, and xey seem to revel in causing others confusion over this.
