Lady of Darkness


I have existed for all of eternity. I was here before the sun, the stars, the moon. A cold, inky abyss.

There are those that would think they have conquered me. Fools. Without darkness, there IS no light. I am not something that can be gotten 'rid' of. When your precious 'light' is extinguished, what remains? Only that which has always been there - darkness.

But I am not some evil to be destroyed. I am a mother to many. Without the Lady of Night, there would be no Dreams (and perhaps a host of less-than-pleasant deities as well, but can you blame me for wanting to appeal to the masses? People like dreams).

I may not be remembered for who I once was, but I'm certainly better off than the witch, the bitch, or the poor little lost nymph.
