notes about Brishen while I work on him:

Emrys’s older brother. He and Emrys were essentially raised by Virgil starting in their late childhood years thanks to their natural talent in alchemy. Brishen once had a dream of growing up to join the alchemy guild (his greatest ambition was to one day lead it), but this is okay, too.

The sage of life, but doesn’t actually create life. Or at least he’s not supposed to. More of a helper in striking the balance of life and death in Pridd. However, he’s been known to mess with old, forbidden alchemy texts that he probably shouldn’t.

Brishen and Emrys are the only pair of siblings in Theede besides Fyfe and Galena. They get along much better than those two, however. Brishen is quite fond of Emrys and is exceptionally proud of him when he gets chosen to be Andi’s guardian.

• Light, slightly curly purple-pink-mauvey hair, purple eyes
• Also wears a lot of purple that matches his hair. Apparently it’s his favorite color
• Just a genuinely nice person. Has an infectious laugh, almost always smiling.
• Super encouraging. Loves to teach. Probably goes down to Pridd to hang out with Virgil and work with the little kids.
• Has a playfully competitive relationship with his brother; Emrys may take it more seriously than he does.
