Cyrus

Cyrus was born on a moon called Socarvis V. It was outtermost of the moons belonging to a planet called Socarvis, and the only inhabitable moon of the, likewise, inhabitable planet. The next closest planet was Var Shaatah, which was where his father was originally from. Cyrus's father was an electrician in Var Shaatah, but when he got married didn't want to have his family live in such a big city, and especially on a planet controlled by Mob Bosses, so he moved them to Socarvis V, where he continued to be an electrician.

Socarvis and it's moon were trading posts between the Alliance and Var Shaatah and the rest of the Boarder Planets, and so the folk living there were pretty well off. His father got paid well enough his mother didn't need to work, and Cyrus could go to and focus on school. Much to his father's surprise and delight, Cyrus when to trade school to become and electrician as well. After school Cyrus joined his father in creating their own business. The business quickly grew to having several journeymen electricians, and made Cyrus and his father quite a bit of money.

Then one day the Captain of the IAS Windrunner was having electrical issues and contacted Cyrus to come out and take a look at it. Cyrus not only fixed the main problem, but had also gone on to fix several other smaller problems the crew had been having. Ronin was so impressed that he offered Cyrus a job to be the ship electrician. It paid less than what Cyrus was making at his father's business, but the thought of adventure and seeing different planets excited him. After talking with his father about it, he joined the crew of the IAS Windrunner.

Being an electrician aboard the IAS Windrunner was certainly not a boring job. The ship was old, and had many electrical problems throughout it. And when one problem got fixed, it always seemed like one or two more would crop up. Plus, Cyrus had to work on a very stretched budget, which he wasn't used to. Still, he learned how to be resourceful real quick, and would always make due with what he could.

Ronin

"I don't like her! I mean... I do... it's just..."

Cyrus is grateful to Ronin for allowing him the opportunity to be a part of the crew, and for trusting him with the welfare of the ship's electrical issues. Ronin can tell that Cyrus has a crush on Ingrid, and likes to tease him about it relentlessly, but in a friendly way that was never done in front of Ingrid. Perhaps Ronin is pushing Cyrus to ask Ingrid to go steady with him?

Jasper

"Do you ever miss the core planets?"

Having only ever lived on one moon, but having met people from all over, Cyrus always found other planets and cultures exciting. He's always asking Jasper about his experience living on the Core Planets, though Jasper doesn't usually reveal much about his time living there. Cyrus thinks Jasper is a great guy, just hard to get to know.

Alexandria

"I'll clean up the mess of wire in the engine room soon, I promise!"

Cyrus and Alexandria became quick friends when they had some downtime aboard the ship and started idly collaborating together about making little robots to help around the ship. Even though she's his best friend, he still can't openly admit, even to her, that he has feelings for Ingrid. But something tells him she probably already knows.

Ulysses

"No... I mean, yeah... we're friends..."

Ulysses always acted like a father-like figure to Ingrid ever since she joined the crew, so Cyrus feels a little intimidated by him. They have this awkward relationship, where Ulysses gets the inkling Cyrus likes Ingrid but sort of lives in denial about it, and Cyrus is afraid of what might happen if he did know. It's not like Ulysses would kill him... right?

Helaena

"What was it like, living on the core planets?"

Just like with Jasper, Cyrus is completely in awe of the fact that Helaena was from the Core Planets... planets he doesn't think he'll ever see living aboard a ship that actively tries to stay under the Alliance radar. So he gets his fill of imagining what the Core Planets are like based off of what Helaena and Jasper tell him about them.

Ingrid

"You know just the way to a man's heart... his stomach."

Ever since he first laid eyes on Ingrid, he felt butterflies in his stomach. Cyrus is an absolute awkward mess whenever Ingrid is around. But he's too shy and timid to tell her how he feels about her. And luckily she's so young and sweet and naive that she doesn't even realize his obvious feelings for her.

Taiberius

"Did all those tattoos hurt?"

Cyrus is super intimidated by Taiberius, and tends to kinda stay out of his way. When they are alone together Cyrus tries to fill the awkward silence the best he can, but it's usually in the form of stupid questions that Taiberius either doesn't answer or gives sarcastic answers back to.

Kenna

"It's kinda eerie to think you can see the future."

Cyrus has a curiosity about his future, hopeful that Ingrid is in it. The only reason he doesn't ask to know though is because he's afraid the answer might be bad. Instead he made friends with Kenna by asking her all about Var Shaatah, extremely interested in knowing what the planet his father originally came from was like, as they weren't there long enough to explore.
