Thanks Chen for letting me adopt Tiger! c:

I dream not of a fantasy away from reality, but fantasy within the realm of reality.

I am a king.

Or perhaps I should say I was once a king. I reigned over a world of my own creation where peace and wealth was abundant amongst my loyal subjects.

But it was a fantasy, a dream. And like all dreams, I would wake. But even in my waking state, the dream still continued. Still I had reigned, until the nightmares came.

I am a king, but I have lost my crown.

When she looked in a mirror, she could see beyond.

She saw not her own reflection, but a different world beyond the reflective glass. She was still present in her room on top of her warm covers with the curtains allowing little sunlight for a small amount of visibility, but nevertheless, she saw a world placed where she should've been able to see her reflection. This world was far different from the world outside her room, its tall white and pristine spires reaching up past the clouds and vanishing from view, the many windows on the buildings glinting like the facets on a diamond. The trees sparkled with a blue sheen while the leaves were as hard as crystal, yet were alive and twinkled merrily in the bright sunlight in this world beyond the mirror. The streets were paved with gold that shone brightly and there was a beautiful marble fountain in the middle of this city that spewed out rich and clean water. The people here were dressed in white and all of them seemed to shine with an unearthly beauty. There was no rush, no loud noises, for the people were content to just wander around their beautiful city. There was no sorrow or anger in this world, only peace and happiness.

She saw a king on top of a throne made from the rays of the sun, his wise eyes looking upon his subjects with kindness. She saw glistening white fur and wings that seemed to touch the sky.

And she watched the people of this world from her mirror, her nose pressed up and her hands laid flat against the cool glass, as if she thought that if she pushed just hard enough, she would fall through the blasted barrier and into that wonderful city.
