• Spirit trapped in a mirror universe after leaving his body at night. Based off a myth that the soul leaves the body every night and, if there are mirrors in the room, it will never find its way back.

• His guide through the world is a moth-like creature, kept and carried around in a lantern (bear with me here okay).

• Naive 14 (start)/15 (end?) year old who can neither reconcile with his past nor face the true colors of humanity. He is far too trusting of the human race as a whole, a characteristic that will ultimately lead to a struggle within the mirror world and the loss of his eyes.

• In the spirit world, he has no "real" eyes, but instead ones made of glass that can be removed and replaced. It's a literal interpretation of his problem, do you see what I did there (8D). His attire here consists of mostly flowing, loose-fitting clothes revolving around greys, silvery blues and pastel colors. He much preferred form fitting clothing in the real world, though. Angst. :c

• The mirror world is an alternate universe contained on the other side of mirrors; it is shaped by peoples' thoughts, feelings, inner struggles and revelations. Because of this, it is constantly changing, making navigation difficult and escape near impossible alone.
