Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return...

My brother and I were foolish enough to ignore that wise saying and now we are on what seems like a never-ending quest to regain our former bodies. We have met some very interesting people along the way, people we probably would have never have seen if we had not been dumb enough to attempt human transmutation. Our quest ended up turning into a battle for Amestris. There are so many people we have not saved...yet we go on.

I became a state alchemist at a very young age, in fact, the youngest person to ever become a state alchemist. Colonel Roy Mustang serves as a sort of supervisor to me. I think he is a jerk. I am not sure why--maybe it is because he insults my height or he is just so arrogant. Anyways, I have met some very interesting people in the military. Major General Armstrong is probably even worse than the Colonel, since she is so mean. At least Mustang never locked me in a prison.

Oh yeah...Remember that I am the Fullmetal Alchemist. Not Alphonse. It is a misleading title; I know the colonel did it to spite me even if he claims it is the Fuhrer's fault.
