People say that the famous Willy Wonka died without an heir. Sure he gave enough secrets to young Charlie to keep his empire going but he did not pass on all his knowledge. No, Mr. Wonka died too soon. No more will you find Coconut-Ice Skating Rinks, Hot Ice Creams or even Everlasting Gobstoppers. All those one-of-a-kind confections, lost because the stingy old man would not share. Dead men tell no tales so surely all of Wonka's tales went with him to the grave... didn't they?

Now let us travel halfway around the globe into the depths of Germany. Like many other European countries, Germany is known for its delectable sweets. By asking the locals, you may be able to find the location of one very special little shop. Coddled between two ramshackle buildings, the quaint little shop radiates its own form of magic in the form of a heavenly aroma. Some say it smells of freshly baked cookies, others say it's grandma's best apple pie. But what everyone can agree on is that it is the best smell in the world. Inside, candy of all sorts line the walls, cover the tables and some are even hung from the ceiling! This is no ordinary candy shop. There are your saltwater taffies, candy sticks and lollipops but there are also gumdrops to lift your spirits, licorice to mend a broken heart, golden eggs that become singing chocolate birds when melted on your tongue and much more.

The creator of these delectable masterpieces is a delightful young lady with hair of copper fire and eyes like pools of the warmest chocolate. If you ask her for the secrets to her mouth-watering creations, her eyes sparkle with mischief and she'll laugh a laugh so sweet it makes even her most sugary treat seem bitter in comparison.
