There was a tall figure in a long, black coat. They had a hood over their face, and from its dark pit came a voice: ”We shall meet again.”

Larxene only stood in front of the mirror, frozen in place and gazing into her own eyes, though her sight was not really focused on them. The same thing had happened a few times before, this sudden flash of the nightmare she used to have as a child, and always at this time of the year — or rather, whenever she had to put on a coat before going out.

That was just a dream, she thought to herself over and over, just as she did every single time she experienced that same déja vu. But the truth is, whatever it was, it was not just a dream — if anything, it was the most unsettling nightmare she’d ever had, and it only made it worse that she remembered it as clearly as she did. Luxord always said Larxene's extraordinary memory was a blessing, and usually she would agree — but this one dream, the feeling it gave her, she really wished she could rid herself of.
