guardian in training
"Obake, get back here!""Raev is going to find us, and I'm going to be the one getting in trouble. I'm supposed to watch you!"
Nothing Hanazaki did could get her master to stop. The little spirit stood a couple feet away as she watched the fox sneak through the streets of the village that sat at the bottom of the stairs that led to the shrine.
"Oh come now, Hana, we're just having a look around," Obake said, poking her pink and white head around a corner of a building.
"That's the thing, Obake. There are no pink foxes. They're going to think you're a mutated fox or something." Hanazaki made a face at the thought, and so did Obake, who then sighed and sat back.
"Okay, I wanted to go to that little market anyways. They have bowls of noodles that are just so delicious!" With a smile, she stood, body shimmering lightly and changing into the shape of a girl. "It'll be easier to get there and eat it like this," Obake spun, her kimono flowing with her.
"But you know Raev doesn't want you to eat regular human food, she'll get mad." No matter how much she tried, it seemed the fox wasn't going to listen.
"She eats human food all the time! Just the other day I saw her eating rice balls. She was stuffing her face." Obake puffed her cheeks, imitating her teacher's eating habits.
Hanazaki couldn't help but giggle at that. Then she gave a frustrated sound. "Fine, but do try to eat slow. You know what happened the last time you inhaled human hood." She made a distasteful sound and moved over to Obake, light enveloping her as she turned into a flower pendant that hung delicately from Obake's sash.
"Yes, yes."
