The stallion looks at you and sighs, his spirit torn between words and his body dripping with the blood he has lost for his land and his Queen. His body looks like it was once that of a great warrior, war paint across his face in unknown markings. His step is light but his eyes are heavy, sad and sorrowful that when he was willing to sacrifice everything the one whom he fought for turned her back on him. He died with a broken heart, but in the end he still died for his land. Nothing remains now, the great civilization lost to time but he is there; walking across the fields protecting everything he held dear. Although his King and Queen deserted him and left him to die, he still protects them; for in his heart he has known nothing else.

Formerly a Hikei Amondaire is named after a character in my story, a elf who lives a life of pain and suffering in order to save his kind. He sacrifices all believing that it is his destiny as told by the Queen of his country.

Here he stands now, covered in the blood he shed for his country. His spirit forgotten but his hide leg lifted to represent the bucking horse, the symbol of his family name that fought and died to protect the land he loved dearly. May his name never be forgotten.
