I like my new decorations. They're pretty. Such pretty pretty spots... I like them. If only if the itching would stop. That itching, at the back of my brain. It won't cease for a moment.

They grew the other day. Now there are so many. I like the moist like the damp like the wet. Everything is perfect. My mushrooms like it too.

They just keep growing. Gotta keep them nice and warm and wet and damp. Gotta take care of them.

Itching is worse the more they grow. Itching means they love me. Must keep nurturing them, not let anything harm them. I am the only thing standing between them and destruction. The itching is so much now. I love the itching the itching loves me. Must not scratch must protect the collective my mushrooms.

Everything makes sense now. They are protecting me. I am not protecting them. They are so much stronger. I helped them, now they help me. Their spores keep me safe from things that wish me harm. Our their whispers in my brain are louder now. I know that the itching is gone for good. They don't need itching anymore. I know they love me I know they want me I know I need them and I know everything they think. I know everything we all think. We are all the same, all united by the spores. All hail them, all hail the pretty mushrooms. We are safe now because of them, we are Protected.

We need to climb now. We all need to climb. They are guiding me. We are guiding me. The collective is one, we all have the same task. Beautiful unity. Beautiful.

They have brought me atop the highest cliff, the highest peak. They have guided me to the place where we must go. We must leave now. We are ready to go and this host body is too weak for us.
