The Divine One

ORIGINS

Oranos is the god of the sky and the heavens. He is the force that brings balance in Subeta between night and day; good and evil. Many moons ago, a great evil was brought into Subeta when Calvin Blackmoon tried to use a parasite known as Las Plagas to help him conquer the world. Calvin tricked Euclid into creating Verdugo, a powerful creature he intended to use to defeat all that opposed him but Verdugo was too strong. Darkness fell over the land as Verdugo broke free of Calvin's control and destroyed everything in his wake.

Seeing the imbalance in the land, Oranos sought to eradicate the evil and restore balance once more. He needed to come down from the heavens, but would need to take a physical form. In addition to a body, he had an even greater problem - If he brought all of himself down to Subeta then nothing would be left to protect the sky above. Oranos split himself in two; some of his power he would send down to Subeta in physical form while the majority of his being would stay behind to protect the heavens.

Oranos took the form of a mechanical kumos that would project the god's power. Unfortunately, the kumos form could only hold so much of the god's power as it decent from the heavens. Oranos would need help if he had any hopes of defeating Verdugo. War erupted between Verdugo's followers and those fighting for their freedom. A Subetan named

Wesker would change the tides of battle. With Wesker's help, Oranos was able to defeat Verdugo and restore balance once more.

Wesker has taken over control of Verdugo, using him to battle in the battle coliseum to release his pent up aggression and frustration. Unable to reunite his split form, Oranos has chosen to remain with Wesker to keep an eye on Verdugo in case he once again breaks free of control.
