It was a cold winter that year, said to be a once in a century occurrence, that much was obvious even in late Autumn. Snow had already begun to blanket the ground, making most stay indoors, and leaving a shivering Common Feli to tend her large garden alone. In warmer weather, she would have had helpers from all around the lake to work with, as she was well respected and as kind to others as she was to her plants.

Brushing the frost and snow away from her plants, she glanced up, noting the ominous clouds gathering overhead as she stood up and ran back towards shelter. A blizzard was coming, and she knew it.

Grabbing whatever she could find to protect her garden, she ran outside towards it, in hopes of making it before the storm hit - that garden was her life's work, she was not going to let a single storm destroy it.

Tying down everything from tablecloths to dresses over her plants in hope of giving them shelter, she noticed as a chill filled the air. It was not the normal chill she had grown used to with this early winter, but a foreboding breeze coming from the north. The storm was about to hit.
