Once, long ago, Innkeeper was a normal innkeeper tending to a normal inn. Then, one day, a shady looking group came in, asking for a room. As a normal innkeeper, it wasn't really his job to run background checks on paying customers, so of course he let them stay. Unfortunately, this was a group of cultist, and during their stay, they accidentally angered a very powerful otherbeing, who cursed not only them, but the inn and all who were in it. So now Innkeeper is a cursed Innkeeper of the Inn of the Damned. Surprisingly, it's not too bad. At least now he gets to eat anybody who tries to skip out on the bill.
