A war-time bio-weapon still blankets the wasteland, causing pain and temporary vision loss and leaving behind strange, burn-like scars and unsettling dark yellow irises. Anyone spending significant time in the wastes exhibit these effects, to varying degrees. Giant wolves with oversized teeth roam in great numbers, sustained by equally deadly hoards of boar.
