History:
For as long as he can remember, Cyprien has been able to see and sense things that other people do not. As a child his imaginary friends were less imaginary and more supernatural. For a while his parents feared that he was mentally ill, and that was when Cyprien first learned that he was different. He trained himself to ignore most of the strange things that he saw or sensed so that he would seem normal.

In high school Cyprien first became interested in the occult. Fed up with pretending that he was just like everyone else, he entered the era of teenage rebellion. He began studying the paranormal; reading all he could about ghosts and spirits.

Instead of attending a university, Cyprien scrounged and saved his every penny until he could open his own business. He worked minimum wage jobs, whatever would pay the bills, and put every spare penny in the bank. What he made was not much, but it was enough to buy a modest storefront to live and work in. Psychic, ghost whisperer, medium; whatever you might call it, Cyprien makes his meager living helping people make contact with the spirit world.

But, Cyprien's abilities are limited. He cannot call spirits who have already passed on. He cannot cause souls to pass between this world and the next. He can only see and communicate with those that are already here. For the most part he helps people deal with hauntings.

Cyprien is not easily dissuaded from anything. He is used to being called a freak or a fraud. It no longer affects him, except perhaps to make him all the more determined to do his job and prove himself.

Either the result of his abilities, or simply something that makes it easier to deal with spirits and those effected by them, Cyprien is extremely empathetic. He feels emotions very keenly and is easily swayed toward the emotions of others. He is extremely perceptive, as well, and not just in his sixth sense.
