You didn't expect to find a shop on the beach, but here it is. There is a table with a wide variety of shells carefully spread across it. Each one is fully intact and clean. Behind the table stands a Samurott, the Dignity Pokémon, balancing on his hind legs.
Your Pokédex reminds you that it is a Water-Type and the final evolution of the Unova starter, Oshawott. It is known for being extremely intimidating, able to scare most Pokémon to silence with just a glare, and wields swords known as seamitars hidden in its armor.
This one doesn't look intimidating at all. It looks older and has a calm, kind look about it as it eyes you.
"I know Samurott are not common around these parts, but surely you have seen one of my kind before?"
When he speaks, you realize you've been staring, and you feel your face redden. You apologize and explain that you used to be human.
"Oh, you are the one with the guild! What a curious thing. I used to be very involved in exploration when I was just an Oshawott."
Intrigued, you ask him about his exploring days.
"Oh, I was not an explorer myself, friend. I handled less... combative aspects. I worked the with my friends, Ursaring, Beartic, and Pangoro -- they were Team Vigor -- and the guild as a whole. I dealt with acquisitions and maintenance primarily. You know, assuring they had good equipment, were well-fed, and that the guild was clean and able to function."
You nod, feeling a surge of respect for the Samurott. Yet, you are a bit confused. You tell him you would have expected a Samurott to be involved in the fighting.
"Hah! It is something my species is known for, yes. I am not above fighting when necessary, but I much prefer quiet, predictable activities."
Nodding again, you thank him and ask him about the shells.
"Mostly, they are just beautiful, friend. Some of them do, however, give you a boost in battle. Those ones are labeled. Oh, by the way, I give a thirty-percent discount to all guild members."
A discount? Nice. You begin looking through the stock, searching for one that's appropriate for you....
