I was created in memory of Retro's fat cat; 8 ball.
I was created 01-16-2009. The day that 8 Ball passed away.

8 ball was born in Kuwait in 2002. She was rescued by Retro's husband and brought back to the USA.

She was 1/2 siamese and no clue what else. She used to love to eat black socks as a kitten and run around the house like a crazed, mad woman. Nothing and No One was safe from her terror! Retro's husband thought she might like a play mate when she was younger and brought home a tiny kitten ... this did not go over well with 8 ball. She terrorized that kitten ... she would grab it and flip it into the air like it was a rag doll.

While flying from Kuwait to the States, 8 ball got delayed and found herself flying alone. When she reached the states, she was so far behind that the airline decided to deliver her to Retro's husband. Who would have known that this meant that a cat would get a bath, a new carrier cage, and a ride all by herself in a limo.

8 ball had a massive attitude. She only liked to be petted on her terms, and she loved to go outside on a leash to watch the neighborhood. She loved to talk to people and tell them her thoughts and demands.

When we say fat cat ... we really mean it! She was a BIG girl ... a really big girl. She weighted 22 pounds at her heaviest.

8 ball will forever be missed from her bitchy, sweet role in our family ♥️

8 ball got her name because she was solid black with these whitish swirls (as a kitten, they were bald spots) on her sides that looked almost like the number 8. Retro later found out that when siamese cats get hurt and scar, the hair in that area falls out and is later replaced with white hair.
