Upholding the Twelve Immutable Universal Laws can be an exhausting task even for a force of the galaxy that is omnipresent. Kahrmuh is in all places and hears the life breath of every creature that takes wing, walks the earth, or swims beneath the sea. Like a spider on its intricate web she can see, hear and feel every thought and action of all members of Creation. The tiniest leaf falling from a tree causes ripples on the surface of the pond below. There is no such thing as an irrelevant force of Subeta's Creation.
The dark forces of the universe lurk at the edge of her awareness, longing for just a single thousandth of a second when her concentration will lapse. Destruction is their nature and they would like nothing more than to swallow the globe and its millions of inhabitants in a fit of hungry rage. Even in her weakest state, Kahrmuh's concentration is perfect. At her strongest, she can sometimes banish the darkness for brief times, giving Subeta spans of great peace and prosperity. She would not destroy the darkness despite the burden it places upon her. Above all else, she is tasked with keeping the balance of the universe.
She descends to Atebus only on those rare occasions when the alignment of the planets forms a natural cave of star matter to keep the darkness quiet for a time. She takes the form of a galactic montre, her faithful companion Kismet at her side as she descends a cosmic bridge to the moon of Atebus. Though she cannot interfere in the lives of mortals, there is a soft spot in her heart for the minions trapped in the Galaxan Wastes.
She will visit food vendors in the wee hours of the morning when even Subeta's dedicated shopkeepers are enjoying a few hours of sleep. Kahrmuh trusts Kismet to leave the proper money for each purpose. The Constellation is less restricted in her movements, able to mingle with those sages whose serenity allows them to hear the voices of the cosmos. Most are wise enough not to question why a star cluster would take an interest in the conversion rate of subeta points.
Kahrmuh distributes food through the surfaces of the bubbles. As much as she wants to pop each and every bubble and clean up the toxic spill that stains the beauty of Atebus, she cannot. Even something as seemingly useless as toxic sludge contributes to the overall atmosphere of the planet. To take away this unnatural section of the surface would force the mechanical limbs of all cadogres to grind to a halt. Every action has an equally powerful reaction.
To soothe her sadness, she always makes it a point to visit Pina Park where the great Ikumoradeekanox tree resides. There is always some new fruit to satisfy her hunger. She gathers those fruits felled by the hands of more careless pickers, arranging them with care in a wicker basket weaved from reeds Kismet collects in Riverside. These are left for Charity to find in the morning. Kahrmuh grows strong on the positive energy she gains from helping those in need.
She never stays on the surface of Atebus for longer than one night, yet that short time always provides treats for a hundred hungry families that could never afford a voyage as luxurious as a flight to Atebus.
Their gratitude is shown in the drops of juice that fall to earth, feeding tiny ground dwellers that will in turn become food for bigger creatures. The delicate balance of the cycle of life goes on. Kahrmuh smiles as she observes it all.
