JunFan is very old, so old that he can't remember when he was born. He lives a sheltered life, which is just as well since he hasn't aged very gracefully. He can't remember when or how he became... icky, but he's pretty sure he wasn't always that way. He dreams sometimes of a youngster names Oshun, whom JunFan torments and teases until Oshun retaliates, but he always wakes up before he gets to the end. This can be very frustrating for him, since this Oshun character seems somehow important.
JunFan lives in a heavily wooded area to the north of Shadowglen. He's not sure how he arrived there, as the details of his youth are lost in a mental haze he can't quite penetrate. He doesn't travel to more populated areas due to his appearance, fearing that he'll be outcast. No one ever visits these woods, though he hears strange sounds at certain times of the year. He is not intrigued enough to investigate. He's come to think of the woods as "his," not out of possessiveness, but born of the habit of thinking himself alone there.
In his (relative) youth, JunFan was a potter, and you can still find the remnants of this once fine skill everywhere around his home. He no longer makes pottery, as he is no longer inspired. Perhaps someday someone or something will spark his creativity anew. Meanwhile, he spends his days puttering around like an old man with his cane, straightening things and shining old pieces as if expecting a guest. Sometimes he practices martial arts, a skill he maintains in spite of his lack of opponents. You might think him too feeble to be a threat, but you would be wrong.
