It was the last big snowfall in January 2009. Looking out one of the bay doors at the auto shop he worked at, my boyfriend saw someone drop off a litter of kittens on the side of the road. A little while later a vehicle stopped and picked them up. JUST TO BE SURE, he drove by on his way to McDonald's for lunch, and he saw him. Covered completely in snow was a small black puffball standing off in the distance. My boyfriend knelt down and called him over and the black puff bounded over to him. They got into the car and went to McD's for lunch. Ollie's biggest meal of his life was that day--most of a double cheese burger, a few fries and part of Quarter Pounder. All of that food was bigger than he was...and his appetite hasn't stopped.He figures that the black puffball ran away when the first vehicle stopped; I like to think fate intervened. I had always wanted a cat that actually wanted to cuddle. I finally have it and joke that Ollie is the best gift my boyfriend ever got me. He's a spoiled brat--wants whatever it is you are eating, whether you are human, feline or canine. He loves to play--on his terms, of course. Most of all though, he loves to sleep. And every night he jumps into bed when he sees me heading there and climbs on me as soon as I lay down. He's my favorite blanket.And so, Pinche is dedicated to the biggest brat, whiner, cuddle-cat, brat, and feline best friend I'm probably ever going to have.
