I was one day exploring in Veta Lake peacefully, when a strong gust of wind blew my map away. I chased after after it until it disappeared high in the clear blue sky. I sighed, very upset and disappointed.

Great, I thought,now where do I go?

I continued walking though Veta Lake until the sun started sinking in the horizon and the full moon rose high in the sky. I was completly lost and forgot where to go until I spotted a small lake.

Well, I am a little thirsty...

I walked over to the lake and bent down to take a quick drink. The water was cool and very refreshing. I continued making more drinks when I spotted a dark shape in the water. I jumped back in surprise, afraid that it might have been some sort of monster. Caused by curiosity,I walked back, peering over the water to see what the figure was. I bent down closer when I saw myself, nose to nose, with a Kumos. A Hydrus Kumos!

I wanted to run away and scream because Ive heard rumors that Hydrus pets are very hostile and dangerous. Instead, I stayed where I was. The Kumos stayed, bobbing, in the clear, blue water, staring at me with clear white-bluish eyes. It didnt looke very hostile, instead, very curious, cocking its head to one side.

I bent down to pat its head but it quickly dove underwater. Wait!,I yelled,dont run away! I wont hurt you!

The Kumos came back to the surface, showing only its wet, furry head. She seemed afraid, slowly showing its entire head.

Do you really mean you that?she said, skakingly

I nodded my head, making my promise to the Kumos.

The Kumos eyes brightened and she smiled. She hopped out of the water, quickly shaking her fur, letting loose large droplets of water that shined in the moonlight. I quickly dodged the droplets, smiling, amusingly, at the large Kumos. She sat down, licking her fur to flatten into a shiny, silky, light brown pelt.

She looked up at me, her eyes glowing,Thats a relief. Im glad youre not a bad person.

I stared at her, confused, thinking that she might have insulted me but I let it pass by. Instead, I replied,Thanks. You dont seem so bad yourself. ^^ Im Krystal_Icy but most just call me Krystal or Krys.

She finished grooming her fur and looked at me,Nice to meet cha! Im Malikal; Mali, for short. She stared at me appovingly.

Ok...Mali. ^^ Do you mind telling me where I am?

She stood up quickly,Youre in Southern Subeta or Southern Veta. Most people believe this place is just an empty piece of land which is actually not true. I live here, you see. This hidden lake is my home and nobody has ever found it. Well, except for you...She glanced at me which kinda looked a bit disapproving.

Oh....sorry.-_-; So, how exactly did you discover this hidden lake?

She looked at me, half surprised,half disappointed, as if she didnt want to give away her secret home. She sat down on the soft, wet grass and started,Well, it all started when I was a child.

Story

When I was young, I had my first fish minion when completing a quest for the wizard. I was just a normal goldfish.

But it was very special to me. Everyone in my family adored fish but only as sushi. I loved my goldfish and I didnt want anyone to take him but my family always tried. I've decided to take him somewhere. Somewhere where noone could find him! But where?

I couldnt take him to a public,everyday pond. Humans would pollute it with their garbage and such. I thought of the Peka Glade but was always closed thanks to that Sebastian Phoenix...>.

That was when I always wondered what was there on the Southern side of Subeta. I decided to go explore hoping to find anything and luckily for me, I was able to find a lake. A lake big enough to hold almost 1000 fish! I smiled happily bounding over holding my little goldfish in my paws.

I gently poured my goldfish in the water and I smiled at him, happy that he finally has a place to stay.Youre safe now. I hope you like it here. I stood and walked away thinking, grateful that I was able to save him. But when I turned around, he looked sad. He stared at me with sorrowful eyes. I walked back and whispered to him,You dont want me to leave right? Thats okay. I stay with you in the lake for a while.
