Dearest Matteas,

In response to your last letter I ask you what am I supposed to do? My father is a tyrant and my mother long dead, do you just expect me to come home running? You can not come with me, though it pains me to be away from you. I must stay away from him. If he should kill me, there would be no chance for our realm to survive his cruelty.
