Sam the Little Robin

The Hippoti are the gentle flying giants of the Subeta world. Residing in most corners of the world, they lived their simple lives without confrontation or hardship. You could always spot a group of them, since they always traveled in packs and their shadows would cover the ground below as they soared above. Despite their large size, Hippoti are well known for being agile and skilled fliers. They lived for nothing else but the sky, and the thrill of soaring above the clouds.

That was except for Cassedy, the hippotu that didn't fly.Truthfully, Cassedy could fly just fine. He just didn't want to. He had tried it, only once, and even after getting the hang of it decided it just wasn't for him. He much preferred him feet firmly planted on the ground, than the wind between his wings. Oh sure, in the past not everyone could accept this right away. His grandfather, a pure traditionalist was the one who took his grandson's decision the hardest. He just couldn't understand why his grandson wanted to be different, why he wouldn't just go along with what had always been. Cassedy begged for his family to just try to understand, and it wasn't until he saw just how happy Cassedy was he couldn't deny what was best for him, and he along with the rest of the Hipottu, he finally accepted his decision.

I should come to no suprise that Cassedy loves nature. As someone who spends all his time roaming around through the forests and woods he's become somewhat of a expert of the different plants and flowers. Cass just loved the feeling of the earth underneath his feet. The grass, the dirt and even the mud, it just felt right to him. He's saved his friends and family many times with his extensive knowledge. He knows easily which berries and plants are poisonous and which flowers have the most charming scents. The other creatures of the forest trusted Cassedy's knowledge, and it made his family even happier that they let Cass live his life how he wanted to. For the past few months, he's been learning about medicinal herbs and plants to help his friends even further.

Cass met his unlikely best friend in Sam, a gentle sweet robin who he helped nursed back to health when he broke his wing. Now the two spend their days together, Sam flying around him or perched on his shoulder while the two gather berries, pick flowers, and gather herbs.
