Ketta was always a little different from the other kani. He liked fire... a lot. Nothing sinister really, just loved fireside and spent hours looking at the great bonfire and the fireworks in the sky above. Years passed and each year Ketta would throw all the figurines he could find into the bonfire hoping to earn the red reighn's favor and one year he did just that. Ketta tossed an effigy of the red reighn into the bonfire and it erupted into a huge gout of crimson flame, the flames grew and grew enveloping Ketta. At first he panicked fearing that he would be reduced to ash, but the flames were merely warm and caused him no harm. After a moment the flames receded Ketta looked down at his paws, the were still on fire. He shook her paws in a attempt to douse them, but to no avail. He ran to a nearby stream and looked at his reflection. What he saw shocked him at first, he was covered in flame and his eyes were the same shade of crimson as the flames.
