A soothsayer is one who is well versed in the art of divination. They are fortune-tellers and oracles, able to see into the future and recant fate and fortunes yet to bestow their subjects.

They also have a habit of talking in riddles, mostly to cover their own lack of talent. Either that or they're ridiculously vague about everything, for the same reason. Though do I know one seer who just likes dicking people around.
