"No Mother, don't die! C'mon, I see an exit through the bushes, over there! Squealed Everlasting Spring as she clutched her only living relative's scruff. She knew inside that her mother would never escape Merana, but she was too blinded by fear to realize it. "It's not much farther!" Her mother breathed heavily and painfully, and her eyes seemed clouded with hurt. Or was that a spark of hope? Hope for her daughter to escape? "Its no use. You must leave me and run away. Go on, I'll be fine." Everlasting Spring brightend. "Really?" "Really. Now hury, the tunnel is collapsing!" Running through the forest, legs churrning through the air, she looked back and saw one of merana's minnions hunched over her mother. She turned and ran more, propelled by hatred and betrayal. Her mother said she would be fine. It was all Everlasting Spring's fault she was dead. I'll never love anything again!Out of her rage she ran into a subetian. just a stupid human, they don't care what happened to me at all. But then the subetian slowly and steadily held out her hand and smiled slowly. "I'm so sorry" she whispered. Everlasting Spring would have run, but she felt something inside the subetian. Was it truely sorrow? "My names Feathertail. Your's?" "...Everlasting Spring."And their freindship began. But to this very day she fights her hardest in memory of her mother, and bears the marks of Merana's hydrus "blessing".
