I remember the night Mother'd killed Jaden. Mother had brought us to the old shed down by the lane, where no one went to anymore. "We don't have enough money for three of us," she'd said, her skin pale. "I-it's been a hard season, business' been slow and.. we don't have enough food for all of us anymore." I don't really remember what had happened next. Her hand had suddenly pulled out this dagger from behind her back, all gleaming and sharp. Before I knew it, there was blood all over Jaden and there was a dagger lodged in his chest and Jaden's eyes widened for a split second before his body went limp.

I'd felt so furious at that time. I'd lunged at her without thinking, and it was wonderful. Something in me, it awakened that night. And after, when I looked down at my hands, they were stained with dark red blood, all dripping and fresh. Jaden was stained with blood too, and the old shed was. And my mother just laid there, silent and still and beautiful, her hair all over the place.

Yes, Mother used to have really beautiful brown hair. It was very long and silky soft. Me and Jaden used to spend hours combing it and Mother would giggle. Ha-ha, who's giggling now, Mother?

I'd licked up every bit of blood on me that day. I couldn't help it. It tasted so mouth-watering and sweet and I craved more. I needed more. I couldn't sleep that night, because my stomach was begging for more of that crimson liquid. No one woke up the next morning, and the streets had been painted scarlet with beautiful blood, it looked so beautiful and I couldn't contain myself...

But the world is barren and empty now. Nothing lives anymore. It is all so horrible. It simmers in my blood every night, that little itch you get when you feel you must do something. It boils, boils so brilliantly. I had to calm myself down. You understand, right? So I must settle on anything I can find-mainly, those wretched souls who wonder around aimlessly. I'm just helping them cross over, to put it in a most polite way. I love hearing their strangled screams as I tear their lifeless bodies apart. I never understand why they're so frightened, they're all dead already after all, aren't they? giggle

Why, I must say you're very kind. Thank you very much for listening to my story. I've been craving for that delicious sweet blood for such a long time now, so as you can see, it is such a delight to see a living thing again! Won't you stay longer?
