-Oy- is named for the character Oy from Stephen King's The Dark Tower series. Since "Oy" was unavailable, I had to add hyphens -_-;

Oy is a billybumbler, a curious species that is a blend of a badger and raccoon, with a bit of dachshund mixed in for good measure. He befriends the boy, Jake Chambers, in the third book, The Wastelands, when he stumbles upon the camp of Roland Deschain's ka-tet, which includes Roland, Jake, and Eddie and Susannah Dean, in the forest on their quest to find the Dark Tower.

From the looks of things, it would seem that King based the billybumbler off of the tanuki :D
