Yes, I am not who I seem.Back when I was a little cub, my parents named me Ardis. Well, actually they called me Ardia first because I was little and whiny... you get the point. I was also very, very cold from birth, and they feared many times that i might die from it. They wished me to fight with ardent love for life, the precious life they had given me...
However, I became weaker by the day. After a lot of hesitation, they decided to sent me away to the Fire-eaters, the Wild Tigrean tribe us Glaciers had recently called a truce with. The tribe where I would learn the dangerous art of playing with Fire. Where flames would be manipulated to run liquid- hot in my bones, and warmth distilled and focused in my internal organs. Where energy could be borrowed and harnessed for my own use. Where a breath of wind might tip me over the balance and melt me into a worthless puddle...
Fortunately, I never did let the flames run away with me. I successfully completed my training in five years and went back to my village. Those who remember the old War whisper about me and say that I am a changeling, one not worthy to walk in their midst. Others are just jealous of my knowledge. That is when I feel the surge of power from within my veins, dancing and twisting to be freed... But I know the consequences. So I smile to the offenders, politely nod, and walk away.
To my family, I am forever indebted, for they brought me to this world and gave me the opportunity to learn about the important things in life.
