The dark one, alone
Wandering forest shadows
Always, he is lost.

Erseian. Once the subject of a madman, a science project gone horribly awry, he endured countless encounters with a monsterous machine that shocked his very DNA.
Morphed through dozens of forms, he has been an Anyu, dripping with blood. He has been a monsterous creature, grafted to the trunk of a tree, and able to speak to the flowers and plants around him.
At last, he has settled, finally, in the strange and twisted form he holds today. Skin smooth, and a deep purple tone, his eyes are pure white orbs, six of them, seeing the world in different ways, unable to close them, unable to stop seeing.
Drawn through these forms, he has picked up traits and talents of all of them.
An uncanny swimming ability, and a sixth sense on the thoughts and feelings of flowers.
He can see ultraviolet light, and the light of those departed of us, but not yet of the world.

A malfunction with his creators laboratory equipment resulted in a fire, taking with it the life of his maker, and many of the experiments that were housed there.

He searched for a home, having escaped such a terror, but his strange, distorted form caused others who were 'normal' to cast him out.

Finding refuge in a dark forest, where spirits linger and speak to him, he has set to gathering up those who are lost and outcast from society. He is building a haven for them, and stands guard as protector and savior of those who are as lost as he.

They find their way out, sometimes. Find their joy and their light, and then, they find homes. But Erseian is forever lost, a soul doomed to wander the wood, seeking out those who cannot seek for themselves.

Though they are with him, he is still inexorably alone, unable to connect to those around him, forever lost, forever wandering.
